  1. Eugene,… I tried to reply to this but don’t see what I wrote last night,… ?

  2. ok, trying again,… I think I had a password problem,… more or less the same comment,…

this may not seem appropriate, but I’m “known” to say that we live on the “roadkill side of life”,… meaning that we get to look visually at all these gross messes and disturbing physical remains of violent incidents that occur, and have occurred, around us,…

I think children are probably most disturbed by roadkill events and such,… and I’m really “not much of a fan” either,…

but happily, long ago, I read something by George MacDonald (or someone similar), in which he vividly described the “other side” of these events, which is usually quite “invisible” to us ~ at least to our ordinarily observing “naked eye”,… for example, we might see the remaining body of the roadkill rabbit just squashed out on the road ~ ew! ~ but what we don’t see is the still “living spirit” of that bunny (that had been animating that body), joyfully hopping up out of its messed up body, and springing off into eternity,… this image has helped me very much to process and handle things that otherwise would be too overpowering to me,…

there is “life (in one form or another) after death”,… faith helps us to picture this in part,… but one fine day, we will “see” more clearly,…

googling George MacDonald, a nice quote from him, appeared,… “If instead of a gem, or even a flower, we should cast the gift of a loving thought into the heart of a friend, that would be giving as the angels give.”

  3. just to add: “we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7),… this is actually very very powerful!,… there is much “hidden strength” in our faith,… our earthly eyes “see through a glass darkly” ~

    1 Corinthians 13:12
12 “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”
